Rock (dominates?) Hip Hop in da society.
Rock in India have a huge base this is backed by major events such as one of the largest crowd gathering event I-Rock. You yourself should examine the crowd numbers when an International Rock Band drops in the country in comparison to the numbers that attend when an International Hip Hop entity drops in. The numbers can also be compared to rock events held vis-à-vis Hip Hop events held for college festival. Hip Hop is being pushed by various promoters the crowd gathering has not been significant in the past years but there is a slow and gradual change in the numbers BIG UP to all ya’ll Emcees, Djs, breakers, graffiti artists holding underground/club events bringing together all the forms of REAL Hip Hop under one roof. One similar finding across these genres are Live concerts, downloads may help you get a song or a video of an event for free but it cannot replace the experience of watching a live performance. There is a triggering differentiation for pure devotes of both the genre/culture that beefs each of them to keep the attitude of ‘you stay in your place I’ll stay in mine’. As of those who are open to alternatives will be down for the collision course. Both these genres being independent fail to experiment the new form of collision although Internationally itself they have joint hands on various tracks the list is endless but to name the leaders and legends of both of the independent stream have got down on tracks like ‘Twisted Transistor’ the joint features a Spinal Tap-esque mockumentary where four rappers play the parts of Korn: Lil' Jon as Jonathan Davis, Xzibit as Fieldy, David Banner as David Silveria, and Snoop Dogg as Munky. . Eminem uses the song Changes by Black Sabbath featuring the bands lead vocalists Ozzy Osbourne as the basis for his track "Going Through Changes" from his album Recovery. Remixed by Danny Lohner featuring Marilyn Manson ‘The Way I Am’ by Eminem is also a coming together of Rock n Hip Hop identities. At the end of the day an event or a band or an artists success depends on the number of fans he can augment, you can live the culture you can follow music but to build a community it takes majority, Hip Hop is treated minority in the country the movement needs to be organized and
this calls for unity in this diverse country.
music is music,u shud love it in all forms!!
